I brought Lars' old analog camera back with me. I want to bring it when I go to Israel, and hopefully take some nice pictures.

Wieder In Berlin!

I had a great Christmas in Denmark, meet up with friends and family and had a lot of food. My aunt didn't make it through the snow so we had to celebrate Christmas without her, instead Gitte joined us, which was very nice.
Now I am back in Berlin after 10 beautiful days in Denmark.

Walking in a winter wonderland!

Lately I have been complaining a lot about the snow, but I have to admit that after finally arriving to Denmark saturday afternoon I started to enjoy it. Maybe it's because I am out of the city where the snow is only gray and annoying or maybe it is just because I have no schedule to follow. But instead of complaining I stop up every 5 minutes and think that it is so beautiful that I really need to enjoy it as long as it lasts.

Frederiksborg castle
The view from my parents living room
Bird feet in the snow
Ice crystals on the window

Last Night My father and I did one of or Christmas traditions. Which is to go and see the Crazy Christmas Cabaret. This year we brought Mellie, who had never been in Tivoli doing Christmas, so doing the break we ran around trying to see it all.

Right now I am so into the Bowerbirds, especially this one song, which reminds me of Latesummer nights, bonfires at the beach and stars at a dark sky.

I found this rather cute video of it!

Bis bald Dänemark!

Warten, warten, warten.
So I am on my way home for the holidays, but are right now stuck at Tegel waiting for the plain, which is delayed by over 3 hours.
Well, how better to use the time than to blog.
I am going home for the first time in 6 months, and I am for once looking forward too seeing Denmark. I think it will be so much fun seeing all of my friends and family. Making Christmas candy and doing all the Christmas traditions.
Now I just have to wait for the plain to take of.

Winter faces!

Just as I thought the Show would soon be gone, it started snowing again. I have to say that I am already pretty tired of the Winter. However this gives me a good excuse to stay inside and work on my stroke and portfolio. The last couple of days I just been drawing sad winter faces.

Love you, love you not...

I am already tired of the snow and that I have to talk the U-bahn to work. Stains on my clothes and salt ruining my shoes.
But when I am in my Kitchen looking out, I feel like I am seeing the snow how it is suppose to be. White and untouched. And then I can't help but enjoy it.

Wir trotzen den Schnee!

So after an afternoon of flying back and forward to Berlin 2 times, do to the huge amount of snow falling over Berlin, my Parents arrived late Thursday night.
The snow was everywhere, and the coldness made it a little difficult to stay outside for too long.

Luckily my Parents were here many times and know all the basic thing that you have to see, and therefore we went to see the Berliner dom, where they were rehearsing for a concert. It was really beautiful, so we sat down and listened for a while until we got the heat back!

We went to Christmas markets, where they had so many sweet things. Like Erdbeerebowle and Lebkuchen Hertzen!

Then we ate traditional Currywurst mit pommes
and went to other Christmas Markets

And of cause we had time to have some delicious food, shop and just enjoy the weekend!

Walking through the snow!

So my parents came to town, despite some beginning trouble with snow and planes.
My newly bought shoes broke and yesterday my parents were sweet enough to give me a new pair that should be able to keep my feet nice and warm. I wore them all day today and I already feel like they are gonna be a pair that I will wear all winter long!

Home sweet home!

Today Berlin and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary. It's is kind of funny to think that exactly 1 year ago I came flying to Berlin and today I did exactly the same! The only difference is that today I came from Stockholm Instead of Copenhagen. Cause this weekend I went to Sweden to be with friends.

Friday I arrived at Stockholm where I should couchsurf for the first time. I spend Friday night with my host and his friends, and we had so much fun, that I know for sure that I will try it again.
From the place I had a view to Åhlens, so I had to go there Saturday and luckily I found a pair of "Senfgelbe Strumpfhosen" that I have been looking for forever.

Then I met Aycha, and we went Shopping and drank coffee at a very cute cafe called "Louie Louie" that made me fell like it was the perfect end of a week with a Teitur concert.

We also went to Lidl were they sold lösgodis, which I think they should start doing in Germany to.
And Saturday night I took the train to Uppsala, where Simon was waiting for me at the station.
It was so nice to see him again and I had a really nice time there with him.
Sunday we made an advent wreath out of "trolldeg och lösgodis" and went to an advents gathering with some of Simon's friends.

Monday Simon showed me his school and Uppsala in the cold.

'They even had a TV tower just so I wouldn't get too homesick.

So what will I do tonight to celebrate the anniversary? I think I will eat falaffel and watch a movie to recover from a very exiting and fun weekend with too little sleep.

One night with Teitur!

Last Night me and Angie went to see Teitur. I was very exited cause it was the first time I saw him live.
There was a really cute warm up band called BOY, that consisted of two German girl, who had a little trouble playing louder Acoustic Guitar than the Metal band playing upstairs. But it was good anyway.
I bought their EP, cause it was really nice music.

Teitur completely lived up to my expectations. It was a very nice concert, that even though it had a lot op long pauses, where the band had to tune their instruments and so, he managed to keep the audience attention although out the show, telling silly stories and making people laugh.
He tried to speak some German but found it to hard, and began speaking Danish but quickly turned into English again.
My favorite part was when he was totally alone on stage and sang, "The Singer" without any instruments. However I also really liked that he promised to e-mail a video he made at Deutsche Rundfunk " to everyone in the audience who gave him their mail address.

Today I purchased a new toy, a stamp kit! It wasn't only to play with, but so I can finish a project that I am working on. I have to admit I think it is kind of fun to fumble with the small letters.

Dativ oder?

So tonight I started my German grammar class, and for the next month I will go there twice a week.
There are so many things I think I will never learn. Or maybe I will lean them, but forget them again. As long as I can just remember how to use them I will be glad.

Passing time!

Today I went to the cinema to see a "Orly", A french film that takes place in the Paris airport Orly. Not to much happened, but there was interesting moments and conversations in the movie. A great Sunday occupation.
For me this was also the ultimate language test. A French film with German subtitles.
But it went pretty well. I understood most and also leaned some new words.

After I biked to Arkonaplatz to go to Flohmarkt. I was looking for some stamps to a new project I am working on, this also has to do with moments.

I found numbers...
and could really resist buying this "Ich" stamp
even though I have no idea what to use it for.

Great expectations!

I am so exited. In 18 days I will get to see one of my favorite artists live. I can hardly wait.
