Is There such a Thing as Too Hot?

The past couple of days I have spend sitting on a bench in the park, knitting and reading. Cause even though the calendar tells us it is fall, Indian summer has arrived, and it makes me a bit sad that I didn’t bring any of my summer clothes to London. Honestly I didn’t think I needed it. After such a fall like summer, it was hard to expect that it would suddenly get better. So while people are walking around in flip-flops and sandals, my feed are being held hostage by my canvas shoes. I guess they don’t have to suffer for so long, from Monday the weather forecast is promising rain and 16 degrees. That’s more how I imagined London would be.

Sunday Nap!

Today I went into a tiny art and design shop. First thing that caught my eye, was not the things for sale, but a big cat that had thrown itself over the counter. Next thing I saw was another cat on the floor in the back of the store, and last but not least, a cat taking a nap between the rows of drawers with postcards and prints. So cute!!

An Old Beauty!

The Other day I bought a bike. An Old Beauty! Not as old as the one I have back in Denmark, which is from my great grandmother. But it is from the 50's, and I love all the little details on it. Especially the sprocket, which says "Triumph". Right now it is a little Rusty and need some work. But that will happen sometime when I am in the mood.
This morning I took it for it's first longer spin. I went to get a Coffee at "Shoreditch Grind". I really have to drive with big vigilance, as I still need to get used to driving in the wrong side of the street, plus having no foot breaks. Fortunately it went pretty well, for the first time driving in the traffic.

New Place to Call a Home!

I am settling into my new flat pretty fine. It is a beautiful old English building, with small windows, and my room is facing south so I have the sun all day long (when it is there). It takes a bit of time to make it become homy, but piece by piece it is starting to come together.

Berlin Memories!

Before I left Berlin this summer I went around to take picture of the city, so I would have something to remind me of the good time that I had there. Here are some the displays the city and my home.

Enrollment!!

So today it was Enrollment time, so now I am officially a Student again. I can't wait to start, but unfortunately I found out that we don't start school until the 3rd of October, and I expected it to be on the 26th. It's kind of a pitty, since I could have used some extra time in Denmark, but on the other hand I will have a bit more time to explore the city and get some practical stuff crossed of my "To Do" list.

Look Up!

When I look to up into the sky above London. I find that there is a lot of inspiring and funny little details. I didn't really notice, but when I looked at my pictures I noticed that a lot of them were taken headed towards the sky this weekend.

First day: Sunny!

My first day in London was warm, sunny, relaxing and hard at the same time, not to mention fun. My Father is here with me for the first couple of days, so I am taking it easy and waiting with all the practical stuff until next week. We went for quite a long walk through the streets and parks of London and ended the day on a bench in Hyde Park.

Destination: London!

In a couple of hours I will be on board an airplane, destination London!
I have to admit that it wasn't my dreamscenario to move to London for three years. However I am really exited about going to school. And I am sure London will also be "Toll"

In a Busy Waitingroom!

The countdown has really begun! In a week I will be sitting in London and start a whole new life for myself. I have a 100 things to do before leaving, so I sadly don't have time to blog that much these days.
I am really exited but also nervous and stressed about how many of my thing that won't be able to fit into my suitcase.

Outside Is The Best Place For Summer!

So this weekend was the first weekend in many weeks were we didn't have any plans. And for once the summer was back, so we used the good weather to sit outside and drink coffee, make nice summer food, and visit Tivoli for one last walk around the old garden before summer season is over.
