Finally Fall!

For a while I have been complaining about how the fall here has not been very beautiful, compared to what I experienced last year in Berlin. I guess it must be because I am not use to London latitudes, cause this morning when I rode my bike to school everything was all of a sudden in a million colors, and I wanted to take a jump into all the piles of yellow leaves on the ground and in the parks.

The Colors of Fall!

Not only is the fall making everything more beautiful, with all the burned of leaves everywhere I look. But my favorite color is also in fashion, and I see people wearing mustard everywhere I go.

Today I went to Stratford to meet a guy from Couchsurfing, and then we had a glimpse of the new Olympic stadium under the burning sun.

So Many Beautiful Dresses!

This weekend I did a dangerous discovery. I found a lovely vintage store with beautiful dresses. All of them more or less my style. I really need o stay out of these until a actually have to use a new dress. Couldn't resist buying this one.

Creative Colors!

Today I went to a the first "Renegade Craftfair" in London. It took place in the Old Truman Brewery And there were about 100 different stalls with jewellery, prints, household textiles and other creative stuff. Although there were a lot of beautiful things, I didn't buy anything. Instead I sat down to knit for a while, whit a group of knitters making blankets for charity.

Sometimes Life Enables Joy!

For some time now I have been interested in writing more. I guess it's a side effect from having this blog. So now I have made another blog.
I will still write here, about my daily life etc.
The other blog wont have new posts as often as this one, and I will write longer texts about subjects that I find inspiring, art I have seen or experienced, and thoughts about life, literature, people and other interesting things.  Hope you enjoy it!

Ukay Life!

Bit by bit it seems my UK life is coming together. Now I really only have a few practical/bureaucratic things left before I don't need to worry about that stuff anymore.
Today I finally managed to get a phone number and I went to the Kings Cross campus to collect my student ID. Afterwards we went for a little tour around the new Campus building, and visited the library. I imagine that I will spend a lot of my time there. There is just aisles and aisles with books about fashion, art, philosophy etc., magazines, videos, DVDs and much more stuff, that can easily take up my time.

The First day In The Rest Of My Career!

Today I started school, Or at least a mild version of what a first school day would be like. It only lasted one hour, where we were given general information about how campus life would be like. Tomorrow we are gonna start for real and we will have a full day of leaning. We are gonna see our new studio spaces and have our first lesson. I am really exited!

From Market to Market!

One of the things that I find really nice about London is that they are just as crazy about going to the market, as they are in Berlin. I might even dare to say more crazy. Whether it is food, antics, sweets, flowers or hardware there is a market for it, and it is possible to spend all days just jumping from one market to another. Today I went to the flower market at Columbia Road to get some Rosemary for the kitchen. There were heaps of people shopping for flowers and in the sun all the colors of the flowers looked really nice. Afterwards I spend most of the day knitting in the park, and looking at all the people passing by, enjoying the last days of Indian summer.
