Eating With The Misfits

Some days ago we all took a very long lunch break and went to Culinary Misfits to eat.

Besides being a super cute place, it it a cafe with an agenda. The two girls who runs it work together with local farmers and source vegetables that can't be sold to supermarkets due to EU restrictions. They use the misfits to make yummy seasonal food, that we can eat with a good conscience.

Weekend, Flowers, Home and One Springy Feeling

This weekend was needed. Since I hardly spend any time at home doing the past week, it feels good just to relax and enjoying being zu hause. It is extra nice to be here this weekend, since for the first time in a couple of weeks the sun is shining all day long making everything brighter and more pleasant. It has been kind of depressing to only seeing the place through artificial electric light lately.

I am also happy that tulip season has started, it always reminds me that spring is just around the corner. Maybe it is also a good day for taking a long walk.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Double Galette!

Since new years I have been busy baking. January is the month of Galette Des Rois. Like last year I made it myself, again from scratch with a new improved recipe. I decided to make an extra portion of dough and therefor I also had enough to make a tasty onion galette (seen on goodeggs). In fact I made so much, that I had enough to make both of them twice. So I took one galette to work and ended up getting the hidden feve and becoming king myself. Therefore I had to wear my DIY crown, for the rest of the afternoon in the workshop, which spurred off for many amusing conversations.

November Instagram Recap!

Better late than never, a little recap from Instagram. Most significant thing that happened in November was probably starting on a new job here in Berlin. Otherwise things were pretty much as usual. The fall disappeared and it became Winter.

Holy Shit Christmas Shopping!

On Saturday I spend most of the day working at the Holy Shit Shopping Christmas Market. I had some time to look around myself, but had come without money to avoid spending too much on myself. Even though Christmas markets like this is an exelent way to find unique present, I more often than not end up buying pretty stuff for me, rather than present for others as intended.

My favorite stall was Manage-A-Deux that made these beautiful little wood canisters with old teapot-lids. Too bad their shop is all the way down in south Germany.
