At the end of February, we had some exceptional spring days were we were able to spend several hours outside for the first time in a long time. We hit the playground again and went to Tempelhof, where a lot of people were already barbequing. I think picnic and barbequing at 10 degrees must be a Berlin phenomenon.
Snowdrops have started to pop up from the ground and reminding us of the warmer times ahead.

Random shots
Just some random iPhone shots from the past couple of months. At the moment this is the only camera that goes everywhere.

At The Lake
Some weekends ago, when the weather was really nice we went to Grunau and took a long walk along Langesee. We jumped on the ferry to the other side of the lake, walked south and took another ferry back. It was Fleur's first ferry ride, she was appropriately dressed in a whale romper.

Sunday Walk
Back when Pauline visited, we went for an Sunday walk in a almost desolate Berlin. It was warm but a bit cloudy. I suspect that most people went to the lakes.

Spring Feelings
Last Saturday, we had some beautiful weather here in Berlin. And for the first time this year, there was the Dicke Linda weekend market around the corner from us - something I have been missing throughout the winter as the place to get regional fruit and veggies on the weekend.
After a visit to the market, we took a stroll with Fleur in the pram while we enjoyed the almost 15 degrees outside. Getting out of the house is something that I have started to appreciate more and more during the last month, as it is no longer myself who makes that choice at the moment, so whenever it does happen I enjoy it to the full.

Sunny Schöneberg
Some weeks back, before Fleur arrived, Vincent and I went to Schöneberg to do some baby shopping. There is a cluster of different stores over there, so we thought it would make it a bit easier instead of running to places all over town.
I think I mentioned this before, but I always enjoy going to new places in Berlin with a specific purpose. It makes you take new streets and discover new sides of the city, that you otherwise wouldn't have found. This day we found this nice little French bakery with some really delicious pastry and bread.
It was a sunny and cold day, and Schöneberg - though bare and winterlike - presented itself at its best. After wandering for several hours we had lunch at Route 66 - a very American diner around Pariser Strasse.
In the end, we were exhausted. Who knew baby shopping would be so demanding? It makes me grateful that most things can be ordered online and shipped directly to your doorstep.
