Brunch in Friedrichshain

After multiple failed attempt to meet up - first one kid sick then the other - Tina and I finally managed to meet for brunch with the small ones an early Saturday morning. We went to Happy Baristas in Friedrikshain where we had a great french toast and coffee and babychinoes for the kids. Afterwards we went to a playground nearby and enjoyed the sun and sand before it got to warm outside.

Sunday Is... no. 20

A walk through Tempelhof and Shillerkiez with Fleur and my dad. Fleur was showing of her rabbit to everyone we meet.
A visit to a nearby playground. Because this is where I spend most of my time these days.

Green Is the Season

Back in May, we planted some seeds. These seeds has now grown into strong, vivid green plants with summery flowers and tasty treats.

I really enjoy taking care of these plants and see them grow a little more each day. It is so nice to have a little garden to nurture and something green when living in the city. The added bonus is the exotic ladybird that I found among the leaves one morning and the many bumble bees who visit us everyday single day.

Culottes

I decided to do a bit of summer knitting. And what better way to spend my leftover yarn, than to knit some matching culottes for Fleur and her doll.

Bernau

A couple of weeks back, we went to Bernau for a couple of hours. Vincent had to go there to fix something at the exhibition he has there at the moment and Fleur and I decided to tack along.

It was sunday, but the city was buzzing with life as they had a yearly Hussitenfest. There was food, stalls and merchants everywhere and it was another great summer day.
