At The Lake

Some weekends ago, when the weather was really nice we went to Grunau and took a long walk along Langesee. We jumped on the ferry to the other side of the lake, walked south and took another ferry back. It was Fleur's first ferry ride, she was appropriately dressed in a whale romper.

Sunday Is... no. 16

A trip to the country side.
My Aunt is selling her house. Therefore I suggested that we would go and visit, while I was in Denmark last weekend, as it might be the last summer she spends there.

A few of the many nice things about the place is that the beach is just nearby, there is a friendly neighbor with lost of cherry trees and another one who catches scrimps in the summer.

So of cause we had some nice fresh scrimps and after all the hard work getting them ready and the meal, we went for a walk along the water where there was a jelly fish invasion, like I have never seen. Sadly the birds had beat us to the cherries, but instead I found a lot of luck in the grass.

The Olympic Village

Not that long ago we took a Sunday trip to the old Olympic Village from 1936. It is about half an hour train ride from our home and then an additional walk from Elstal station. It was quite a warm day and in the village even more; it felt a bit like the wind stood completely still there. After being at such a quiet place, it is always really strange to return to the city.

Day Trip To Malmö

Yesterday we went to Malmö for a little stroll and a trip to Malmö Konsthall. The city was at first pretty empty. Either everyone went away for the holidays or the usual swarm of shopping Danes was just missing. During the afternoon a bit more people started to appear and Malmö still looked nice and pretty Christmasy.

The exhibition was a bit of a disappointment, but then it was at least nice to have a great oat-milk cappuccino at Solde Kafferosteri. Very nice a cosy place.
