1 Year

This monday, we celebrated that exactly one year ago, Fleur entered our lives. A real kids birthday with home baked buns, cake, and warm cacao.

Maternity Visitors

For the past three months we have had so many visitors at our place. They all wanted to welcome little Fleur into the world. They have come from near and far and the ones that couldn't make it all the way to Berlin have send greetings and good wishes. Fleur has been showered with lots of things like baby clothes, toys and books, and our home has never before been adorned with this many flowers. It is amazing how a little baby can create so much joy just by being present.

Another amazing side effect: some people I lost touch with got back in contact after learning about the news on this blog, so Fleur has also re-connected old friends, which I am very grateful for.

We still expect some people who has not made it here so far. Just this weekend Pauline will come from London to visit, and we can look forward to more visitors over the summer.

Christmas Time

Another Christmas has passed and I had a nice time in Denmark with friends and family. Of cause there was as always too much food and other good stuff, but that goes with the time of year.

Birthday and Beautiful Flowers

This weekend I celebrated my birthday. On my actual birthday which was Friday, it was the very first day of summer here in Berlin and Vincent served me a nice breakfast on the balcony. The sky was completely cloud-free and it was almost to warm to be outside. In the evening we went to a French bistro to eat and had a very nice meal on the other side of town.

Saturday it was time for another Champagne brunch (do you remember last time?). I had invited a lot of friends to join. I have been preparing for the past couple of days, but all the hard work in the kitchen payed of, cause there was so much delicious food, and we had a lovely day with lots of bubbles and great fun of cause.

To go for a long walk along the lichtgrenze.

Today we took an almost 5 hour walk with a group of friends and thousands of other people, along the wall of light-up balloons symbolizing the 25 year anniversary of the Berlin wall fall. A cold but pleasurable way to spend Sunday afternoon.
