Home Improvement no. 6

It feels like we have been living on a building site for a bit more than a month now. First came the bathroom, then we started adding our own adjustments and building stuff for the pantry. Now we once again had to pack up or home and let strangers come in a dust it all up so we have reason to do another spring clean.

Work-wise we are not completely done, but we are done. On the bright side I can slowly start to reveal some of the many changes, that happened around here. First improvement: we now have tiling in parts of our kitchen, which has reduced the mess on the the working surface and has given it a greater kitchen feeling.

Sams Home

Whenever I visit Sam there are always so many things to look at. There are little details everywhere and they change all the time. It is therefore always exiting to see, which new additions were added since the last visit.

The Tale Of A Kanelstang

Over Easter I attempted to make the Danish pastry Kanelstang for the first time. And with great success. Since it is one of Vincents favorites, I thought I would give it a try. I have to admit that I prefer this to homemade cinnamon buns. Just because the dough turns out a bit more succulent.

I can dream of this for the next month while I am doing a no sugar diet. In the meantime I most likely only take pictures of really healthy food.

In case you would like to try it yourself, here is the recipe I used. Though I only did half the portion.

From Schöneberg to Kreuzberg

Schöneberg is one of my favorite stations in Berlin, the light is always so amazing there.

Cool lamps

I love this time of year when the chestnut trees start to sprout

Today was such a nice day. Therefore we decided to try out new walking paths and took the train to Schöneberg, where we started a walk that almost lead us the entire way home. It is sometimes great to go without an aim and decide along the way which corners to turn. That way you can end up somewhere unexpected.
