Camera Accidents!

My little Japanese plastic camera is twisting and turning.
I bought it in the beginning of this summer, so I would avoid taking my digital to the Roskilde Festival, that way I would not have to worry about rain of theft.
I been using it a lot this summer, mostly cause it is so light that I can easily bring it anywhere. Sometimes it makes weird double exposures and twisted landscapes. (You might have noticed this on some previous post) But it is all part of the charm.
I didn't want to use these photos for a normal blog-post, they are a bit to surreal. However I like them too much to hide them away. 

Halle!

Autobahn

If there is two things I will remember Halle for it is trains and empty houses. Maybe the people living there used the trains to leave and never come back and the railroads were covered with moss so no train could enter again.
We had a nice stay there even though there were not too many things to do, but I guess when you are with someone you love everywhere you go is nice.

Raum In Betrieb!

As I mentioned briefly, I took part of an exhibition last week. It was called Raum In Betrieb and took place in Halle, Germany, where 70 artists and designers had the chance to transform a room each in an old empty building.
In general I thought the exhibition was quite nice. We had some days in Halle and had the chance to look through it more than once. I think my favorite was the room where the wallpaper came of the wall flying towards the window.  But this is a selection of the things I liked best!

Trainride!

Sometimes when I am sitting in a train, I think about how simple life would be if I could always sit in the train listening to great music and enjoy the view of the would rushing by without having to engage.
The speed of the landscape and the wings of the windmills always seem to move in the same rhythm as the music on my Ipod. And the feel of the train taking me through the would in high speed is very soothing!

Here are some pictures taken on my last journey through the German landscape. Ironically one where I got trapped for en extra 110 minutes on a journey that should have lasted no longer than 85. I did have things to do and someone who was waiting for me in the other end, but somehow it was okay and it felt okay not having the control.
I guess trains are a bit like life. There is a greater plan which they follow. But once in a while something happens, which no one can control and things end up being different than thought, but then it is okay too.

In The Woods (Part 3): Nature!

Another nice thing about getting out of the city is the nature. The silence and fresh air. Back when I was living with my parents I used to live 3 minutes away from the forest and spend a lot of time there. So it always feels welcome to take a short break from citylife and spend some time in the forest.
I don't really care too much for spiders, but this one I was impressed by. It had managed to make a web right in the middle between two trees standing 3 meters apart.

In The Woods (Part2): Food!

One great thing about gathering with friends is that it always serves as a nice excuse to eat a lot of delicious food. 

There is something very nice about gathering around a table for hours just eating and talking about everything that comes into mind. Specially with people that are only in you life for a shorter period. Soon we will again be spread around the globe. I will leave for London, Elisabeth for Mexico, and Teal will stay for a while longer before she also has to go! So this was maybe the last time all three of us could do something like this in a very long time, but I hope it wont be the last time we are gathered like this.
