Kaffeetrinken!

After work last night I meet for a coffee with Mellie, who are in Copenhagen for a little while longer. I haven't seen her since Christmas, where I was home, so we had a lot to talk about, and it was also really nice to speak in German again. It is a pity that she will only be here for 2 more weeks, but I don't really blame her for wanting to go back to Berlin. I'm a little bit jealous.

I'm inside!

Last night was the only sunny night in a long time, and somehow managed to spend it inside. I had some carrots I needed to use, and what better way that to make nice healthy carrot/apple muffins. Yummy!

The Heart Collection!

I didn't find this heart on the ground like the others, but in my own home. This one is for someone special.

A Frenchman in Copenhagen!

That past 11 days I have had a visit from Vincent. Time has passed by so fast, and we didn't even manage to do all the thing we wanted to. But It has been a really nice having him here and showing him where I come from.
Here are some of the things we did have time for.

Of cause there were sightseeing in Copenhagen

Ate nice summer food, despite the prevailing rain.

Vincent brought "Sagaland" and we played it together with my family.
I made him taste all kinds of danish specialties as Hot Dogs.
 Different danish pastries
 "Gammel Dansk"
"Koldskål" with "Kammerjunker""Smørrebrød"

Witch he liked so much that we had to have it one last time before he left town.

Protected from the rain!

As the danish summer is showing itself from a less good side, and the rain is poring down. What is better than to spend an afternoon looking at art.
The Danish Art academy is currently showing the projects of their Master students, in one of my favorite contemporary art galleries in Copenhagen, so I went there with Vincent to get away from the rain, and see "my soon to be colleagues" artworks.
What most caught my eyes was the many films, especially the one of a blind man and a prostitute called "Room without windows". There were also so really nice photograph and a very weird model of the male brain.

The male brain, from outside...
 and inside.

Jubilæum!

Yesterday we celebrated my father, as he has been working for the same company for 40 years. He had a reception in the afternoon, with a buffet including "Brunsviger", "Rygeost" and "Solæg", all specialties from the part of Denmark where he grew up. He got so much beer and presents from all his friends and colleagues. In the evening we went to a Brewhouse in Copenhagen where we had a very nice dinner. I can't imagine working that long for a company, so I guess I won't have 40 year anniversary.

Sorry For My Absence!

Right now I am not the busiest Blogger in the world, but it is kind of hard with no internet at home. This means I have to drag my computer somewhere else every time I want to post something.
In the meantime I have been passing time offline quite fine, and maybe it is actually good that I don't have the world wide web to tempt me when I should be doing something else.
Since I came back from Roskilde I have been so busy.
The movers came and I unpacked all my stuff

I decreased my dvd collection from this size
to this size.
I also had to take my bike apart for the first time and change the tire and put it back together, which made me fell like a superwoman.

I been reading a new book, so I won’t forget my German skills

I have been making nice summer food
And had good company over for dinner
and enjoying my new balcony, and that I can sit in the sun and eat my breakfast.
