A Bike Ride!

Some time ago I had to go to Canary Wharf to meet someone. Although it is a bit far I decided to go by bike cause I could almost drive along the canal all the way there. That day was a classic fall day where the sky was switching between sunny and gray clouds and there was an amazing light the whole time. I took many pictures on the way back and was very eager to see the result.
Now most of the trees are bare and it feels a bit sad to know that we are really on our way towards winter. At the same time I am hoping the spring in Nantes wont be too far away.

In The Studio!

Last week we had an Open Studio, which gave other students and friends the chance to come in and see how and where we work. We were obliged to be present for the whole week working in the studio. It was a super fun week, mostly because we got to spend time together and see each others work.
I feel like I have been neglected blogging a bit lately and I realize that I never blog about school even though it is where I spend the majority of my time.
Maybe it is because I don't really fancy the new building so much, I find it a bit sterile and uninspiring.
The best thing about it is the grand piano in our street, which often gets played and fill the whole building with beautiful music.

Sunday Soundtrack!

The past week I have had a lot to do. In two weeks we have assessment in school so I am working to have a first edit ready on my film.
Last night I was looking through the material. I am happy with how it turned out, and hope I will have a good result in the end. 
Again today it was another bright Sunday so I took a walk to Railroad to get a coffee and enjoy the sun.
Next week will be equally hectic so today I wanted to use the day for writing and finishing some of all the things I had lying around, which needed to be done and maybe relax a bit.
 I've been listening to "The Staves" and "John Grant", two of the great supporting acts I saw lately and I wanted to share this song.
It makes me think of all the thoughts I constantly have in my head that I need to write them down in order to remember them and let them out of my head. Otherwise I will think of them constantly in anxiety that they will disappear.

Working Day!

It feels like there are so many things to do at the moment. I am constantly up to something, and even though I enjoy my self, a little part of me can't wait for the Christmas break.
Today I meet up with Ansy to shoot some footage for a film I am working on. We went for a walk in the park and she showed me a lovely cafe there. We got stranded in there for an hour or so, because the weather had a sudden change from light rainy to stormy. In the end we had to go out in the cold because we were running out of time.
I didn't bring my normal camera but I took a couple of photos from the day on Instagram.
Last night I had trouble sleeping. I usually get nervous the day before I have to film something and can't fully relax until it is done. Now everything is recorded and I now need to edit it. 
I am really exited about working on this project and can't wait to see the result.

Beautiful Sky!

It is nice to think that London can also be beautiful and have a blue sky even though we are headed towards winter. I took these pictures last Friday afternoon and after looking out of the window this morning and seeing the mist once again encapsulate London I need to remind myself of this.
I am somehow glad that I will not be spending most of the Winter here. On the other hand it feels a bit sad. But I hope that Nantes will be a bit more sunny and mild. Last night I booked my flight ticket and it looks like I found a place to stay as well, so now I really started to look forward to it.

Between Here And There!

I think the only place I really enjoy the mist is when it hits London. I think it is cause this is the way I imagined London to be every day. Luckily it isn't every day and this may be why I apriciate it the few times it happens. This morning on my drive to school I had to stop and take some pictures in Victoria Park. It seemed that almost everything around me had disappeared.
Then later on my way I encountered this amazing birdhouse city that someone hang in a tree. I never noticed it before. Probably because it is only now since I moved that the leaves are truly gone from the trees.
