Last Spring!

Last spring I was surrounded by so many beautiful magnolia trees. Today I feel like being a bit nostalgic and since I don't get around to take too make pictures these days, it is always good to share some from my huge library.

I have tree days left before my final deadline. Things are hectic and chaotic, but I am positive I will make it in time. I can't wait until this weekend where I can finally relax a bit.

A Place I really Like – The Workshop!

The nicest place at my school is by far the old printing and bookbinding workshop. Here people do silk screen printing, etching, lithography and books. It is so amazing and the only workshop I feel still ooze of old fashion art school and creativity, with an atmosphere of people not afraid to get their hand dirty.

I love spending my days here, especially when the sun is shining and the light streams through the old window frames. I felt the only proper way to document this was with film.

Bookbinding!

Since the new term started, I have been spending a lot of time in the bookbinding workshop. Not simply because I want to improve my skills, but also as it is a really meditative activity. I have spend so much time with my head barried in books and sitting in front of the screen while writing my dissertation and doing my other work, and it feels really good to start in the morning and then go home with something in the evening.

Today I used the time making two books, both binded in dark blue velvet, which is a color I really feel in love with while doing it because of the light reflecting surface. One was a little photo-book and the other a simple notebook.

My goal is to go in once a week, and I wonder what exiting thing I will come up with for next weeks session.

Lunch At Brawn!

I have been wanting to eat lunch at Brawn forever, or at least since last Christmas, and yesterday I finally managed. Line is visiting so it is nice to have an excuse to go out and dine a bit and take it easy now that I no longer have school.

Leaves, Leaves and More Leaves!

I know that every fall there is an immense amount of pictures of golden yellow trees on my blog and this year is no exception, I just can't help myself. On the last day of November I took my camera along when going to buy bread and caught all these beauties in sunny shades. I too was wearing fall colors.
There is one week left of term and the week is fully booked. Hope though the last week in London on this side of new years will be nice and sunny. At least one can hope.
Hope you all will have a great weekend.
