Home Improvement no. 4 - New Shelves!

 

Finally we have somewhere to store our books. Vincent build this great shelf system that we can always add another box to as the books are continuing to come in. So for the moment no more piles on the floor.

Sunday Breakfast!

Last Sunday we had pancake breakfast with glaceed apples as part of Vincents advents-calender. This Sunday I need to be at a Christmas marked all day long, so no pancakes for me today.

November Instagram Recap!

Better late than never, a little recap from Instagram. Most significant thing that happened in November was probably starting on a new job here in Berlin. Otherwise things were pretty much as usual. The fall disappeared and it became Winter.

Holy Shit Christmas Shopping!

On Saturday I spend most of the day working at the Holy Shit Shopping Christmas Market. I had some time to look around myself, but had come without money to avoid spending too much on myself. Even though Christmas markets like this is an exelent way to find unique present, I more often than not end up buying pretty stuff for me, rather than present for others as intended. 

My favorite stall was Manage-A-Deux that made these beautiful little wood canisters with old teapot-lids. Too bad their shop is all the way down in south Germany.

Winter Project!

I started a new little knitting project. Luckily the holidays are coming up so I will maybe have some time to do a lot and finish it there.

Christmasies!

I more of less spontaneously decided to do a advents-calender for Vincent, since I had heard so much from friends making them for someone else. So in little less than a week I found all the presents, paper etc. and send him away from the house while I was wrapping and hanging.

I might be more exited about this than he actually is :).

Konfekt weekend!

Making konfekt is for me a must Christmas doing. As a kid I did it together with my parents, and even after moving on my own I went back home to have a konfekt making afternoon with my mum. This year I decided to start the konfekt production early and therefore Vincent and I spend Sunday afternoon making five different kinds and thereby set the Christmas hygge into motion.

Last weekend I prepared all the marzipan, which is really easy as it is just made from nuts, water and sugar. It has been fun making everything completely from scratch and it is nice to have so many homemade goodies to eat throughout December.
