Allerød is where I grew up.
Now that I have to walk a daily trip, I had the chance to visit some places, that I have not been in years. On one walk we passed my old school, took some of the routes that I used to take frequently and saw places that have changed and others that have remained the same.
I was so lucky with the weather. Many told me, that there has not been good days like this since my last visit in June. I think out of the two weeks I was there, we only had one bad day. Otherwise it was mostly warm and sunny. The day before I left, the fall really took over.

Last Spring!
Last spring I was surrounded by so many beautiful magnolia trees. Today I feel like being a bit nostalgic and since I don't get around to take too make pictures these days, it is always good to share some from my huge library.
I have tree days left before my final deadline. Things are hectic and chaotic, but I am positive I will make it in time. I can't wait until this weekend where I can finally relax a bit.

Le Bateau Bleu!
Denmark slowly vanished in the horizon in the blue sea and sky. It reminded me of the many trips we took to my grandparents when I was a child before the bridge between Sealand and Funen came and we had to plan the trip according to when the ferry was sailing.
There is something really calm about being on a boat, as oppose to traveling with an airplane where everyone is crammed into as little place as possible. Especially on a beautiful day where you can just walk around on the deck or sit and watch the water and ships pass by.

Home Alone A Late Night!
Last night we went to The Screen On The Green to see the late night screening of Home Alone. Yes That Home Alone. The one from 1990.
The Screen on The Green always have a late night screening of an old movie on Saturdays and when I saw they were showing Home Alone I knew I wanted to go and see it. To be honest I was surprised by the turn-up for this as the cinema was almost full. However I see the appeal of going there on a Saturday before going out maybe, as you can have drinks, wine, beer etc for the screening
I can't remember the first time I saw this film, however I remember that being around the same age as Macaulay Culkin it made a huge impression, especially on the invention part.
Browsing through Google today to find some images I asked to myself if the casted him because he is so good at looking terrified.

Some Of My Most Precious Belongings!
I realized coming back to London after the summer that I had way to many things for what I need. After living almost 3 month with only what could fit inside my suitcase I decided that it was time sort my things, and bring some of the stuff, which I never use back with me when I visit Denmark. I keep telling myself to pack minimal but I somehow end up with things that I never use.
One thing I always pack regardless if I am going for a weekend or moving is my jewelry. Often I don't use all of them, but they are very important to me because many contains a memory of someone of something that happened in my life.
It is not that often that I get to share these small anecdotes so I thought I would share it with you and hope that you find it a bit interesting.
These are just a small bit of the ones I have, but they are the ones I treasure the most.

This is my splash of color, the stars I bought on my very first trip to Berlin. This is in many ways a trip that changed my life. |
