A Tymmy Full Of Yummy Food!

This weekend has been all about food. Yesterday afternoon I prepared my lunch for most of the week. Pumpkin Risotto and tomato soup.

Then in the evening I spend the time at Michael and Mans, cooking some food with a Danish twist  for them at their amazing kitchen. I got a bit of help from Man and the cute house cat, she was mostly supervising. The menu was Pork roast, and risalamande.

Today Lilly had invited me to come and make the next batch of Macarons with her. Lemontaste. It took quite some time and they were maybe not as perfect as at Laduree's, but they did look lovely and had a yummy taste, and we had some fun hours experimenting with lemoncurd and clean egg of from the entire kitchen.

The Artist!

Yesterday it was the last chance to go and see The Artist at Curzon cinema. And so Michael and I went to see the movie that everyone has been talking so much about.
For those who haven't heard of it yet, it is a black and white silent movie produced in 2011, about a silent movie actor in the late 1920's who refuses to adapt to speaking motion pictures.  

To be honest. I was exited but also prepared to be bored. I have never watched a 1 hour and 40 minute long silent movie before. In fact I have neglected to watch some of the DVDs in my Hitchcock collection just for that reason.
But I was not bored for one minute, in fact I was surprised how entertaining it was. Although some people have said that it is somehow to nostalgic I think it was a really nice story. I never missed hearing voices, and loved how they played with the sound throughout the movie. Definitely recommendable.

Art On The Ground?

Before Christmas someone had thrown silver glitter all over the ground in my back yard. This made it glitter and glisten every time the sun or moon lighted up the yard. This morning when I came down someone had dropped a glass of curry and there were several spots on the ground. Most lightly it is not intentional, however I can't help but wonder if someone is trying to make an abstract painting on the ground. It looks pretty nice.

Beauty Within All!

On Saturday we went to The National Portrait Gallery to see the Taylor Wissing Photographic Portrait Prize. I liked most of the pictures, but this is my Favorite.

It's taken by Photographer Mark Johnson in a series called "The ugly face of Prejudice", which are all pictures of people who have been scared and no longer fall under the category of what society considers to be beautiful.
For a long time I have been fascinated with this kind of beauty. I believe it is possible to find beauty in every face that you encounter, and I really admire the people who have come to terms with their own appearance and are not afraid to show themselves to the world. 

Something I Didn't Expect To See This Winter!

Cold and Colder!

These days it is so cold, feels like spring was coming slowly, but then suddenly decided to shift back to winter. Therefore I am glad I took the time to knit myself a warm winter hat some months ago.
