Home Improvement no. 7

So this is how our balcony has been looking, since I moved in almost a year ago. Basically we have been using it as a storageunit more than anything else, while we were making changes in the rest of the apartment.

Now we finally got around to fix this place up, so that we can spend many lovely days and evenings there over the course of the upcoming summer.

Can't wait.

Spring days.

Some pictures of spring in Berlin. I have really been enjoying the warm and sunny days we have had lately. We have taken walks, been to the park and sat on the balcony.

I hope that summer will be just as nice when it arrives.

The Olympic Village

Not that long ago we took a Sunday trip to the old Olympic Village from 1936. It is about half an hour train ride from our home and then an additional walk from Elstal station. It was quite a warm day and in the village even more; it felt a bit like the wind stood completely still there. After being at such a quiet place, it is always really strange to return to the city.

Home Improvement no. 6

It feels like we have been living on a building site for a bit more than a month now. First came the bathroom, then we started adding our own adjustments and building stuff for the pantry. Now we once again had to pack up or home and let strangers come in a dust it all up so we have reason to do another spring clean. 

Work-wise we are not completely done, but we are done. On the bright side I can slowly start to reveal some of the many changes, that happened around here. First improvement: we now have tiling in parts of our kitchen, which has reduced the mess on the the working surface and has given it a greater kitchen feeling.

Sams Home

Whenever I visit Sam there are always so many things to look at. There are little details everywhere and they change all the time. It is therefore always exiting to see, which new additions were added since the last visit.
