Jacobi

Jacobi opened last summer very close to Hermannplatz in the buildings connecting to the Jacobi graveyard. It is one of those places I really like to visit, due to their beautiful minimalistic interior, nice staff and great coffee of course.

I am also a big fan of their huge terrace in the back. It gives directly on the graveyard and is relatively undisturbed. I've spend many hours here last summer as a convenient stop during my many hours of pushing Fleur around in the pram, and I cannot wait until it is warm enough to sit here again. It is so unique to find a quiet place like this in the middle of a buzzing and awful place like Hermannplatz.

Tivoli

 

For people who know me or followed this blog for a couple of years, I think it's safe to say you must know by now that I love Tivoli. I have posted many pictures from this place. Of course this year should be no different. Because a proper summer in Denmark has to have a scheduled in visit to Tivoli. I can never get over how nice a place that is, even if I don't go for the rides, but just like to wander around and enjoy all the beautiful flowers and the many colourful buildings while eating an ice-cream.

Home

I was so happy to find that this little pearl opened up just around the corner from me. Its name is not only Home it actually also feels like home. I just know that I am going to end up spending a lot of time there, drinking coffee and eating delicious date scones under the high white ceilings with the sun on my face.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't have a webpage, so if you feel like visiting Home, it is located on Jonasstrasse in Neukölln.  

Another amazing thing is, that after visiting Home the first time, we finally found someone who we wanted to install a proper kitchen in our home; something I am very excited about at the moment. As soon as it is done I will not hesitate to show pictures.

A Place I Really Like - Wyvern Bindery!

I recently discovered that I had neglected to make a post about my former work place in London. It's been a while but during my recent visit to London, I dropped by to say hi and it was just as nice as ever.

The place is one big mess, and you can hardly get around from all the things stocked up in each corner, but it captures really well the soul of all the nice people working there and all the different and exiting jobs they get in the door.

I am really happy that I was part of it for a while. This is one of the places that really made a home for me in London.

A Place I really Like – The Workshop!

The nicest place at my school is by far the old printing and bookbinding workshop. Here people do silk screen printing, etching, lithography and books. It is so amazing and the only workshop I feel still ooze of old fashion art school and creativity, with an atmosphere of people not afraid to get their hand dirty.

I love spending my days here, especially when the sun is shining and the light streams through the old window frames. I felt the only proper way to document this was with film.
