Martins Home

Back in October, after going to France I spend a couple of days in London catching up with old friends and visiting a couple of my favorite places. Sadly I never have enough time to go to all the places that I want to, let alone see people that I haven't seen for ages or drink all the delicious coffee that I would like to.

I had the pleasure of staying with Martin in his beautiful apartment in Hackney. So I felt right a home in my old neighborhood, between all the books and plants, bright light and a lovely new flatmate for a couple of days.

Last Day In London!

Yesterday I moved. Away from the city that I have known as my home for the past almost 3 years. It was a strange feeling to leave it behind.

My flight was in the evening so I spend the morning and noon in Martin's company, having lunch at espresso hut and taking a walk in Victoria Park where both the swans and ducks were showing of their little ducklings.

Martin's Home!

Martin recently moved house, so I visited him among boxes and plants in cozy surroundings on a sunny afternoon.
This was his old flat.

Afternoon Walk!

The other afternoon we went for a short walk along Regents Canal while waiting for things to happen.

A Weekend Walk!

A cold and sunny Saturday in London today, and I met up with Martin for a walk.
There are two weeks left of term now, and I feel this fall has passed by so quickly. Perhaps I haven't been as active a blogger as I normally am, but most of my time I have spend inside writing and have not taken too many photos. But when weather is nice like today it is great to take a walk with my camera and get a bit of sunlight.

Fall Summer Mix!

Turns out that I was completely wrong yesterday, cause there was another warm even more beautiful late summer day in store for us today. In the morning I went to meet Martin for coffee and a short walk and when I had to run some errands I decided to combine it with another walk.
I went through London fields for the first time after my return and was pleasantly surprised by the view of the huge wild flower meadow planted over the summer. There were heaps of people taking pictures. Of cause I could not resist either. I walked in between and the smell was amazing.
Walked back along regents canal along with runners and people riding their bike home from work. Happy that these last days before school starts are like this.

Coffee and Books!

I am currently reading "A Lovers Discourse" by Roland Barthes, and even though it is worth the trouble I find myself asking why it has to be so hard to read philosophy.
So some of the weekend I spend sitting at a cafe reading.
I also had time to meet up with friend and go for walks.

Ever since I discovered this little pony collection, I could not wait to I had my camera so I could take a picture. Very cute.
