The Falaffel Factory!

First of all I have to apologize that so many of my post are about food these days, but since I am back in Denmark I feel really domestic, and this was simply to exiting for me, to not make a post about it.
Teal gave me the Book of Jewish food for my birthday, and now I put it into use. I started with one of my favorite Middel Eastern dishes. Falaffel of cause!
I have to admit it was our second time around, as I made the horrible mistake of cooking the chickpeas before processing, so Vincent and I chopped and grinded once more in hope of better result, and we were not disappointed.

A Visit at Ladonius!

Yesterday we went on a Road trip. My parents, Vincent and I.
Destination: Kullen!
Weather: Crappy!
God car music: Yes!
A friend of Mine told me about "Nimis ans Arx", so when my Mother suggested that we would go to Sweden for the day, I said to her that I would like to go there. I had no idea what to expect, as my friend let out the part where you have to almost clime down the mountain to get to it. But the few rays of sun that were peeping out through the eternal grey sky and the mist through the forest of pine trees made the walk there really beautiful. And the two artpieces really were incredible. I can't believe that one man build this.
After the hike we went to Mölle and had an Ice cream at a very rainy harbor.

First Weekend Of Summer, Or Was It The Last?

After a long night at "Malmö" we had to get up very early to catch the train to "Fyn" to visit my Aunt. But with an early arrival we had the entire day to do a lot of different things.
Among others we went to my favorite museum "Tidens Samling" in Odense, where we had fun dressing up and reading the old book etc.

Later we went home and picked "blueberries" and later black current.

The weather was the sunny and warm and we went for a walk on the beach....
 ate outside...
and took a nap under the peartree with a blue sky and sunshine hanging above.

Evening on The Ground!

Friday this years "Malmöfestival" began, and true to tradition we went there to enjoy free concerts, good food, light alcoholic beer and each others company.
Sweden was windy and grey, and the concert which took place at the harbor was less than warm, so between "Cocorosie" and "Iron & Wine" we wend inside the station for a cup of hot cacao to get heated. And despite the rain and wind, we enjoyed the night and the few sunny moments.

Je t'Aime....

The other night I snuggled down under a blanket with a cup of tea, to watch a film I earlier took out from the library. I have to admit that it wasn't really what I expected, in fact not at all.
Placed under the documentary section I somehow thought I was going to watch a two hour long documentary about the life of Serge Gainsbourg. But "Gainsbourg (Vie héroïque)", was nothing like that, and from the beginning to the end I loved it.
Not only the story about a little boy with a great imagination who loves to draw naked ladies and who can charm everyone, and the grown up man, who in the beginning can't find himself as an artist, and end up living the hard life of a superstar.
But also the way the story is told, in a mix between ordinary drama, musical and fantasy. And the way his alter ego is presented as a person, who he at last merges with.
The movie was 2 hours and 11 minutes and I wasn't bored for one single second. I don't know how much truth there is to the story as I knew nothing about Serge Gainsbourg before, but I don't think that you have to, to see this film, in fact if anything, it is an advantage.

All the Beauty Fading in the dark!

Right now it doesn't really seem like it is summer, in fact it is as far away from summer as I can possibly imagine. The sky is in a constant grayscale , the rain is falling every time I am of work, and the wind is sometimes blowing like crazy. The other night I hat to wear woolen socks at home not to freeze.
At least it gives my time to clean up and do all the practical stuff I need to do before London, but how it would be nice with just one week of sun.
Here is something for the grey days, it always makes me dream of going to a warmer place.

Still As It Was Back In The Days!

What I love most about the place I currently work is the building. It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful old Houses in Copenhagen. It is from the 1930's and preserved which makes it less adequate as workspace, but I like walking down the corridors and stairs, looking out the old windows to the other side of the courtyard and the cobber surface of the roof. Mostly I really like the basement which is like a maze and still holds all the old signs from back in the 30's. I just had to snap a couple of photos to share.
