Juledage

The Christmas days are over and today we are taking a chill pill from all the fuss and fatty food. After two days of family gathering and a sometimes overexcited child, it is nice with a quiet day, where nothing is really happening.

Fleur made it through her first Christmas, probably without really knowing it was something special. But she enjoyed spending time with the grandparents and lots of smiles were given to everyone in the family. She took a fondness for nisser and Risalamande and didn't yet care too much for the tree or the presents.

Day in Copenhagen

The other day, we went to Copenhagen to meet Niclas over a cup of coffee and do some last minute shopping. Luckily there was not too many people in the city, probably because the holidays hadn't really started yet.

It is funny how I always find so many interesting thing to photograph when in Copenhagen. I guess since I am not there every day everything seems fresh and interesting and Copenhagen around Christmas time is quite hyggelig.

I wish everyone a merry Christmas. Hope you spend it with someone you care for.

Purse

For quite some time I have been looking for a little diaper bag for Fleur, something that can contain the essential, fit in my bag while it still looks good, and can be used post-diaper age. Recently, I was so lucky to find this nice purse from Mapoesie at half price, so I jumped at the opportunity.
I really like the print and the material. As you can see on the pictures so does Fleur.

Chrismas Cards

Kind of last minute DIY - what-do-I-have-at-home-I-can-use - Christmas cards. They are all individual, made out of a photo series from an old Cereal magazine. Minimalist forest landscapes with a simple greeting.

Even though I have way to many things on my hands right now, I still wanted to sit down and write some Christmas greetings and let people know, that I think about them. They might end up arriving after Christmas as I still have not made it to the postoffice, but Vincent told me, it is the thought that counts.

Northern Sun

Now we are back to that time of year, where the sun magically reflects on the windows across the street and enters our northern faced living room. So many bright mornings, I forgot about all the grey ones.

Saturdays

Our local Farmers Market has changed from a seasonal market to an all year long event. So every Saturday we go there to buy fresh veggies and once in a while other edibles. If is fits with Fleur's nap we usually go for a little walk as well. Like a couple of weeks ago when there were still some leaves on the trees, and it was damn cold and windy, we were happy that the nap didn't last too long, so we could cut the trip short.

Last weekend it started to snow just as we were at the Christmas market in the afternoon. It was almost a bit fairytale-like, but luckily it is still to warm for the snow to really settle. I hope we get on the opposite side of new years before any serious snow comes to town.
