The First Thursday!

First Thursday of every month East London Galleries open their doors during the evening. And people are gallery hopping for 3 hours. This is a great chance to se a lot of the things you would normally never go to see and meet up with people and drink some wine.

As it is with art there are both good and bad things to see. Sometimes you discover something really different that makes an impressions, which is what happened to me yesterday.
These creepy children dolls made by William Marriott was the best thing all evening. They were life size figures, who had grease in their hair and were sewn together with big stitches. They were not pleasant to look at. In fact they were quite disturbing. It was almost like a traffic accident where you can't help but look even though you rather want to look away.
