Back in March when we were in New York we visited a rather desolate and cold Brighton Beach. I still remember how my hands turned numb every time I had to change the film in my camera. It was a sunny day, but really windy which made the cold even worse.
I bet that a summer day will stand as a complete contrast to this scene; it will be overcrowded and noisy. I like seasonal places that seem like are they completely forgotten when out of season. It is great to be there at these times and feel it being so calm and notice how only local drifters and people walking their dog passes.
